Situations that fall under Art. 240 of the Criminal Code

As it is a public offence, it may be reported by anyone who is aware of it.

Reports may be submitted in various ways, the most common being in writing, usually via online forms for this purpose, but also by email or traditional mail. They should contain as much information as possible.

Crimes committed for discriminatory reasons can be reported to the authorities competent for receiving criminal offenses:

• Criminal police bodies (depending on the nature of the crime and the location in the country where it occurred):
  • Public Security Police (PSP);
  • National Republican Guard (GNR);
  • Judiciary Police
• Public Prosecutor’s Office
