Anyone can counter hate speech
Can we respond to and counter hate speech? Absolutely! It’s a collective effort. Any one of us can fight hate speech! A report can come from the victim, but also from someone close to them or even a bystander who witnesses it happening.
The important thing is to take action. Whether through symbolic gestures or by reporting incidents, the key is to take action against hate speech. Hate spreads quickly, and today it has more and more avenues through which to spread. It can manifest both offline and online, with serious consequences for the victims of these attacks.
How to report discrimination and hate crimes to the appropriate authorities depends on two factors:

Is it a crime or a misdemeanour?
